Turkmenistan took part in the conference of the chiefs of general staff of the countries of Central and South Asia

A conference of the chiefs of general staff of the countries of Central and South Asia was held at the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan” in Tashkent. It was attended by delegations from the defense ministries of the US Republic, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, according to the website mudofaa.uz.

At the beginning of the event, representatives of military delegations laid wreaths at the “Hymn of Courage” monument in the “Victory Park” memorial complex, and then visited the “Glory” museum. After that, they took pictures in front of their national flags at the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”

The conference was opened by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Bahadir Gurbanov, and the Commander of the US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla.

The following issues were discussed at the conference: regional security, counter-terrorism, humanitarian assistance and regional stability.
