Turkmenistan-UK Trade Hits £66 Million in Growth

The total trade volume between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom for the period from October 2022 to September 2023 amounted to £66 million, as reported in the trade and investment bulletin released by the British Department for Business and Trade on Thursday.

According to the report, this figure is 43.5 percent, or £20 million, higher compared to the same period in the previous years.

During the reporting period, the export volume from the UK to Turkmenistan reached £49 million, which is 36.1 percent or £13 million more than the period from October 2021 to September 2022.

Import from Turkmenistan to the UK for the corresponding period increased by 70 percent, reaching £17 million, which is £7 million more than the period from October 2021 to September 2022.

Chemical products, general industrial equipment, aircraft, and electrical goods stand out among the main product groups that the UK exports to Turkmenistan. As for the main product categories imported into the UK from Turkmenistan, they include inorganic chemicals, mechanical generators, general industrial equipment, metal ores, and scrap.
