Turkmenistan will celebrate World Health Day with public events

In honor of World Health Day, which is celebrated on April 7, a number of large-scale physical education, sports, recreational and cultural events are planned in Turkmenistan. Deputy Prime Minister N. Amannepesov reported about this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Thus, large-scale events are planned throughout the country, including a mass bike ride in Ashgabat, which traditionally starts from the “Bicycle” monument. There will also be award ceremonies for Turkmen athletes who have achieved success in international competitions.

From April 1 to 7, round tables and conferences on healthy lifestyles, sports competitions and cultural events will be held in the velayats, Ashgabat and the “smart” city of Arkadag. Pupils, students, enterprise workers and athletes will take an active part in them.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of World Health Day for strengthening the unity of society and promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical education and sports. The head of state instructed that all events be held at a high level.
