In every region of the country, at railway stations there are cargo departments of “Turkmenpost”, in which cargo and parcels of various sizes and weights are sent to all railway directions within the country.
To send a cargo shipment, “Turkmenpost” clients can visit the cargo department of their city themselves or call a courier. The courier will pick up the goods at the specified address.
When placing an order, the cargo is weighed on special “smart” scales. The operator indicates the destination, and the computer automatically calculates the tariff per kilogram. All information instantly enters the unified digital system of “Turkmenpost”. This ensures: reliable accounting of all shipments, cargo safety, transparency of payments and fast order processing.
The shipment will be delivered as quickly as possible, since freight cars run throughout the country every day.
To register the cargo, the sender must present a passport and a telephone number for contact. The recipient also presents a passport. Cargo department employees will not only inform the recipient about the arrival of the cargo, but can also deliver it to the specified address for an additional fee.
