The International Association of Turkmen Alabays has existed for half a year already. And now breeding centers for breeding, treatment and rehabilitation of dogs in all regions of Turkmenistan, broadcasts correspondent of “MIR 24” TV channel Vladimir Serouhov.

Despite the winter, dog breeders continue to train alabays, so that pets of unique breed grow healthy.

The Turkmen Alabay is one of the oldest breeds.This is a powerful, fearless and at the same time friendly dog.For thousands of years, the wolfhound devotedly served the owner: he guarded the home and guarded livestock from predators.

Now the time has come when a person protects the population of a unique breed from diseases, monitors the pedigree.

Their health is carefully monitored, the best conditions are provided, including first-class medicine. For full veterinary control, now not only special nurseries, but also clinics are working. Here pets undergo prophylaxis, diagnostics, and if necessary, receive the help of highly qualified doctors.

Here dogs undergo ultrasound, X-ray, take blood and urine tests. All alabays without exception undergo compulsory medical examination. There is also a real training camp here.

In 2017, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented an alabay puppy to Vladimir Putin. The pet was given the nickname Verny (Faithfull) and settled in the residence of the Russian president in Novo-Ogaryovo.
