U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) grants competition

The Embassy of the United States is pleased to announce the call for concept notes for the 2023 U.S.Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) grants competition.

The first step in the competition is to submit a concept note to the US Embassy by sending an email to irc-ashgabat@state.gov.Please email us at the same address for a copy of the concept note template.

We are happy to discuss potential projects and offer feedback at any stage in the application process!So please reach out to us.AFCP was established in 2001 in collaboration with the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) to assist countries in preserving their cultural heritage.

AFCP-supported projects include the restoration of historic buildings, assessment and conservation of rare manuscripts and museum collections, preservation and protection of important archaeological sites, and the documentation of vanishing traditional craft techniques, traditional music, and indigenous languages.

Deadline for submitting concept notes is December 15, 2022.
