U.S. Special Envoy to Visit Turkmenistan

U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Ambassador Sergio Gor will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan on Jan. 22-23, the U.S. State Department said Wednesday.

The visit will include high-level meetings with representatives of the Turkmen government and the business community. Discussions will focus on expanding bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic ties and promoting regional stability.

The United States plans to discuss new areas of engagement that would benefit both countries.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also plans to visit all five Central Asian countries in 2026.
