UAE to teach principles of Islamic economy to Turkmen banks

The Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan to exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices in Islamic economy.

The signing ceremony was held during an official high-level Turkmen delegation visit to the UAE, headed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, the Gulf Today reports.

The MoU aims to establish channels of cooperation between the two parties in the fields of Islamic banking and finance. With the aim of enhancing knowledge of Islamic finance and halal industry, the Centre will organize workshops and training courses for employees of Turkmen banks.

Let us recall that the visit of the UAE delegation was held on 15 March.
