Australian fighter Alexander Volkanovski will replace Charles Oliveira in a fight with Islam Makhachev at UFC 294, reports sports.ru.
Oliveira pulled out of the tournament with an injury, reportedly suffering a cut above his eyebrow.
The replacement was confirmed by ESPN. It will be officially announced soon.
The fight will headline the UFC 294 tournament, which will be on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.
Previously, Makhachev and Volkanovski met in the Octagon at UFC 284. In that fight, Makhachev defeated Volkanovski by unanimous decision.
This fight will be a rematch for Volkanovski. He will look to reclaim the UFC featherweight title.
