UNDP and IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan launched a series of educational sessions TurkmenYouth4SDGs

The UN Development Program in Turkmenistan, together with the Institute of International Relations of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, launched a series of Educational sessions called TurkmenYouth4SDGs.

The event is aimed at involving student youth of Turkmenistan in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Yesterday, the first session dedicated to World Health Day and dedicated to cooperation between UNDP and the Government of Turkmenistan to achieve SDG 3 “Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages” was already held at the UN building.

At the meeting, UNDP specialists told students about joint projects on healthcare in Turkmenistan. An overview of the digital technologies that UNDP is introducing into the national health system in accordance with global trends was presented. The event also served as a platform to create health awareness and promote healthy lifestyle among youth.

Since 2010, UNDP, in collaboration with the Government of Turkmenistan and development partners, has been implementing projects aimed at strengthening the health care system in the country.
