UNICEF handed over three containerized oxygen plants to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. Two of them are installed at the Center for Infectious Diseases and the International Traumatology Center in Ashgabat. The third unit will operate in the Tejen city hospital.

According to a UNICEF press release, access to oxygen can save lives in emergencies and is also an important treatment for children with pneumonia and other acute respiratory infections.

To provide a reliable source of oxygen supply, UNICEF has developed an innovative emergency solution known as the “Oxygen Plant in a Box”, which is designed to provide oxygen to patients.

It is an innovative all-in-one solution for the production of large volumes of medical oxygen that can be used within days of arrival at the facility. The package includes the necessary hardware for installation, installation and maintenance services, and initial staff training.
