Uzbek filmmakers arrived in Turkmenistan to shoot a film about Magtymguly

Filmmakers from Uzbekistan recently arrived in Turkmenistan to film a joint film about Magtymguly.

The director of this film is Muzaffarkhan Erkinov, the co-authors of the script were Ore Dashgynov and Rahymberdi Annagulyev, reports the IIC.

Filming in Turkmenistan will be held over several days. Picturesque locations of the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat and the town of Guryhovdan were selected.

Then filming will continue in Bukhara and Khiva.

The film is being created through the joint work of the “Turkmenfilm” Association named after Oguz han and the National Center for the Development of Cinematography of Uzbekistan.

Both Turkmen and Uzbek actors are involved in the film. The main role of Magtymguly Fragi will be played by Turkmen actor Ahmet Amandurdyev.

Also involved in the film are People's Artist of Turkmenistan Chary Berdiyev, Dovlet Berdiyev, Muhammetguly Kasymov, as well as Orazgeldi Durdyev, the source notes.
