Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Container Transportation Development

Representatives of Turkmen TULM and Iranian Vision Global Terminal companies had a meeting under the leadership of First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan's Temir Yollari Hikmatilla Rahmetov. During the meeting the sides discussed the possibilities of development of container transportation on the Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran route, UzDaily reported on Wednesday.

The parties discussed the development of container transportation from Iran to Uzbekistan and through it to other countries. They discussed reduction of time of transportation of imported containers from ports of Southeast Asian countries to Uzbekistan through the port of Bandar Abbas, reloading of containers at the border station Sarakhs on fitting platforms owned by Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

Representatives of Vision Global Terminal Company also demonstrated presentation material on the use of capabilities of terminals located in the port of Bandar Abbas and Sarakhs border station.

Earlier, Iran and Uzbekistan agreed to develop a trilateral transportation multimodal corridor Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran.
