Uzbekistan will launch Tax Free for tourists

In Uzbekistan, from 2023, Tax Free for tourists will appear as an experiment - a VAT refund (value added tax) can be issued at the international airports of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench. The corresponding Decree was signed by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.

It will be possible to return the tax within three months from the date of purchase when leaving the country, and the total amount of the purchase must be at least 1 million soums (about 90 USD).

To do this, it will be enough to register in the Soliq mobile application and scan the checks of the online cash register (cash register) with a fiscal sign for the purchases made in it.

The Tax Free amount will be returned after the 25th day of the month following the month in which the purchase was made, after confirming the status of the departure of a foreign citizen from the territory of Uzbekistan.
