Concerts of American performers singing a cappella will be held in Ashgabat and Dashoguz. The concerts will be held within the framework of the “American Music Abroad: An A Cappella Concert” project featuring the vocal group Pipeline Vocal Project.
In Dashoguz, the concert will be held on April 12 at the State Music and Drama Theater N. Andalip. The vocalists will perform together with the Dashoguz Special School of Arts named after Magtymguly Garlyev. The concert starts at 19:00. Free admission.
In Ashgabat, a concert of American performers will be held on April 14 at the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly. The performance will be held jointly with the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov. The concert starts at 19:00. Free admission.
The concert program includes songs from W. Disney films, the repertoire of Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the duet “Wham!”, Turkmen songs based on the words of Magtymguly.
The concert was organized by the US Embassy in Ashgabat and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
