Western Union offices closed in Ashgabat

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that on 4 January, 2021 Western Union offices were closed in Ashgabat.

Employees of the banks, where WU offices are located, are unable to explain the reasons behind curtailed money transfer services. Customers are informed that operations might be resumed effective 15 January, 2021.

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” have previously reported that since mid December 2020 “Turkmenbashi” bank in Dashoguz followed by “Senegat” and other banks of the city have not been accepting any money transfers through Western Union.
