Winter will be record warm

Chinese scientists predict that the average temperature on Earth during the winter of 2023-2024 will be 1 degree Celsius higher than the average values of previous years, writes the “Central News Service”.

According to scientists, high temperatures will be established in many regions in the mid-latitudes of Eurasia. In addition, the Earth's global temperature is highly likely to set a new record during the winter of 2023-2024.

Climatologists from China studied the planet's climate change over the past year, which is the hottest in history. Scientists have suggested that these record figures may be associated not only with accelerating anthropogenic global warming, but also with the intensification of the El Niño climate phenomenon.

At the same time, winter temperatures will remain low or even become lower in Western Europe, as well as in European regions, eastern Russia, the USA and Argentina. This is due to changes in air circulation over the Pacific and other oceans of the Earth.
