Wrestlers from Turkmenistan took first place in the team standings at an international freestyle wrestling tournament in Romania

From 16 to 19 April 2026, Turkmen athletes successfully performed at the International Tournament “Constantin Alexandru and Ioan Popovici” in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling among athletes under 17, held in Bucharest, Romania.

In addition, they secured first place among 14 countries in terms of the number of medals won in freestyle wrestling, contributing to Turkmenistan’s sporting achievements.Overall, the team won 4 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
