Xiaomi SU7 electric car involved in first accident

The brand new Xiaomi SU7 electric car was involved in an accident. The collision with a premium Mercedes-Benz was the first recorded incident involving an electric vehicle from the Chinese auto giant. This is reported by gazeta.ru.

Photos from the scene of the accident quickly spread across the Internet.They show that both cars were seriously damaged.The Mercedes-Benz's right headlight is smashed to pieces, the hood is mangled, the bumper and radiator grille are deformed.

Xiaomi SU7 also suffered: the right side of the body is dented, the doors are damaged and the airbags deployed.

As GizmoChina reports, Xiaomi was driven by the driver of the Chinese blogger Big Lizi Qiqili, who, according to the police, caused the accident. The cause of the accident was confusion with traffic lights.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the incident.

Big Lizi Qiqili, not at a loss after the accident, assessed the results of the “crash test” of his electric car. He was pleased to note that the emergency call system worked perfectly, and the airbags softened the impact without damaging any of the controls or the multimedia system. The doors, despite the deformation, opened without problems.
