Youth project of the Nature Conservation Society of Turkmenistan promotes domestic ecotourism

The Nature Conservation Society of Turkmenistan conducts seminars at educational institutions of the country in order to raise awareness among young people of the natural beauty of their native land. So, one of them took place in the Ashgabat secondary vocational school.

The learners watched documentaries prepared by the Nature Conservation Society in cooperation with the “Altyn Asyr” TV channel. For example, the film “On the Wings of Hope”, produced on the occasion of celebrating the World Environment Day, shows the uniqueness of the Badhyz State Nature Reserve.

Its attractions include the Yeroylanduz crater, which is the volcano mouth. Badhyz is also famous for its pistachio groves with an 800 years old pistachio tree.

The documentary “Coast of Happiness” describes the Khazar Reserve on the Caspian Sea shores. It is considered a paradise for ornithologists. Now work is under way to make a film about the Koytendag Reserve.
