YouTube will introduce labeling for content created by neural networks

YouTube will introduce a new labeling requirement for videos created using artificial intelligence in the coming months. This is being done to combat false information, reports “AiF” with reference to "The Guardian".

When loading a new video, the user will be asked to select the appropriate label. If the video contains fragments generated by a neural network, the user must indicate this. Otherwise, YouTube may delete the user's channel.

Content that should be flagged includes videos of events that never happened, as well as videos of real people doing or saying things they never did or said. Particular attention will be paid to material on sensitive topics: world conflicts, crises, elections and more.
