15 people flee the quarantine site in Turkmenabat

Radio “Azatlyk” reports that 15 people who arrived in Turkmenistan from Turkey, Russia and other CIS countries have fled the quarantine camping site in Turkmenabat.

Those who have escaped allegedly bribed healthcare practitioners.

According to the radio, those who violated the quarantine regime, have already been detained by the NSM officers and will have to pay a large penalty or might be sentenced to a 12 month imprisonment term.

“Chronicles of Turkmenistan” has previously reported that all Turkmen nationals from inbound flights are forcibly placed under quarantine in Turkmenabat: men are sent to the camping site whereas women and children are accommodated in city hospitals.
