President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Baku on a working visit to take part in the XVIII Summit of Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
Turkmenistan has been a member of this organization since 1995.From Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the President of Turkmenistan headed to the Baku Convention Center the venue for the summit.
Azerbaijan hosts the forum within the framework of the Chairmanship over the Non-Aligned Movement in 2019-2022.President of the Azerbaijani Republic Ilham Aliyev cordially greeted President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Baku Convention Center.
After the traditional ceremony of photographing of the heads of delegations against the background of the official banner of the Forum, the official opening ceremony of the XVIII Summit Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement took place in the Baku Convention Center.
Among the forum participants are the leaders and representatives of major international organizations, including the UN, G-77 and others.The agenda of this top-level meeting includes a wide range of important issues of regional and global level, including joint actions against dangerous challenges and threats of our time, further steps to strengthening positive political dialogue, stimulating fruitful cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres.
