A course on the use of the platform “Leaving no one behind” was held in Turkmenistan

A two-day course was held for representatives of line ministers and departments of Turkmenistan on the use of the “Leaving No One Behind” analytical tool to effectively achieve the Sustainable development goals.

The course was organized by the UN Office in Turkmenistan jointly with the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The analytical tool was developed by ESCAP to support governments. The slogan “Leaving no one behind” means providing universal access to basic services and opportunities, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and other factors.

The platform provides the detailed data needed to formulate inclusive development policies, tracks progress towards the SDGs, and generates insights on the situation of individuals and households.

During the training, the participants got acquainted with the navigation on the platform, studied the graphs and charts included in it, learned to determine the difference index (D-index), notes the source.
