The consulting company Z/Yen Group has published the Smart Centers Index, a ranking of "city intelligence", which is formed from assessments of the level of investment, the regulatory environment and the business climate for the development of modern technologies, Kommersant writes.
The list consisted of 77 cities. The top was headed by London and New York, while Swiss Zurich and Lugano, Singapore, Oxford, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv and Hong Kong are also in the top ten.
The compilers of the rating noted that in the process, an analysis was made of such factors as government support for innovation, the regulatory regime, the investment climate, the level of penetration of innovative technologies into the work of the city and the life of its population, the quality of technologies and their availability.
