A solid package of documents on cooperation in the agricultural sector was signed in Ashgabat

On December 2, 2020, a package of 18 documents on cooperation in the agricultural sector between the structures of Turkmenistan, international organizations and foreign companies was signed in Ashgabat as part of the international forum. This is reported by the online publication Orient.tm.

"Among the signed documents are memoranda of understanding on cooperation between the ministries of agriculture and environment, energy and the State Committee for water management of the country with the representation of the UN development Program in Turkmenistan," the message reads.

Working plans for 2021 on joint projects in the field of support for agricultural producers and their adaptation to climate change, development of green cities, and use of renewable energy sources were also officially adopted.

A number of agreements have been concluded at the level of the government and the Ministry of agriculture of the Republic with the Food and agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO). The regional environmental center of Central Asia, the German society for international cooperation (GIZ), and foreign companies also took part in the online signing ceremony.

The international forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country's neutrality started on December 1 at the Moscow Expocenter of the chamber of Commerce and industry.The event with the participation of 37 ministries and departments, as well as the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and foreign representatives, will last until the day of neutrality — December 12.
