A working consultation was held by the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan with representatives of UNFPA

Recently, a working consultation of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan with the staff of the representative office of the United Nations Population Fund in Turkmenistan, as well as an expert on gender equality and women's reproductive health of UNFPA Aysel Vazirova was held.

According to the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", during the meeting, which was held online, further areas of joint work and activities to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the staff of the Ombudsman's Office in matters of gender equality and women's reproductive health were discussed.

The expert noted that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the country has gained positive experience in ensuring women's reproductive health and gender equality, as well as created an appropriate national legal framework, emphasizing the important role of the Ombudsman's Office as an independent national human rights institution.

Following the online meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutual cooperation.
