The British Embassy in Ashgabat and UNFPA signed a new agreement

Last week, UK Turkmenistan and UNFPA signed a new agreement to continue their joint project to protect and promote the rights of women and girls in Turkmenistan next year.

The project consists of conducting consultations for young people on human rights topics in Mary, Dashoguz and Ashgabat.

The project also provides for training throughout the coming year to strengthen the capacity of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan in the field of preventing gender-based violence, the Embassy reports on social networks.
