Ahmet Amandurdyev from Turkmenistan was named the best actor of the “Korkut Ata” festival in Baku

At the International Film Festival of the Turkic World “Korkut Ata” in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, the representative of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Amandurdyev, received the award in the category “Best Actor” for his main role in the melodrama “Red Apple”.

The plot of the film is based on the legend of the red apple, popular in Eastern literature. Director Hekim Alovov in the film raises the themes of education and reveals through the characters such qualities of the Turkmen people as philanthropy and generosity.

The “Korkut Ata” festival was held this year in Baku. 32 feature films, documentaries and animation films from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were presented.

It is worth noting that Amandurdyev was highly praised by the jury for his portrayal of the main role.
