Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan A. Blokhin at the online meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov named the outgoing year 2020 especial for Turkmenistan, as the country has celebrated the 25th anniversary of obtaining of the status of permanent and positive neutrality worthily.
According to the diplomat, … the Turkmen neutrality is a strong and active position, an efficient mechanism of adjustment of active international interactions.
The Russian ambassador in his speech outlined advancement of innovative international initiatives of Turkmenistan in areas of energy, transport, ecology, science and public health services.
It is especially symbolical that the New Year 2021 was declared at the initiative of Turkmenistan as international year of peace and trust, Alexander Blokhin said.
He also noted that thanks to the personal contribution of Berdimuhamedov to the strengthening of the Russian-Turkmen relations built on principles of strategic partnership, traditional friendly relations and a top-level confidential dialogue between two countries, establishment of a strong basis of mutually advantageous bilateral cooperation was possible.
