Alpinist from Turkmenistan Alekper Ahmedov conquers Elbrus for the seventh time

Alekper Ahmedov, a member of the Ashgabat alpine club “Agama”, climbed to the “Mir” station of Mount Elbrus, located at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level. For him, these ascents have become a good tradition, informs “MIR 24”.

The Elbrus region hosts the International Festival of Mountain Extreme Sports. The program has several starts. One of them is the “vertical kilometer”, which the Turkmen climber also conquered.

“The track today is amazing. Hard snow, ran well”, - says Alekper, who is coming from Turkmenistan to Elbrus for the seventh time to take part in skyrunning.

As the source notes, the central event of the festival is ahead - a high-speed ascent to Elbrus. 100 athletes who have shown excellent results in ski mountaineering and sky running will be admitted to it. They will dedicate their run to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
