Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan

On 25 March 2026, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan Ayano Kunimitsu.About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, Ambassador A.Bayramov expressed gratitude for the assistance provided in organizing the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan in December 2025, and noted the readiness of the Turkmen side to arrange a visit of the Prime Minister of Japan, S.Takaichi, to Turkmenistan at a time convenient for the Japanese side.

The parties also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during high-level visits, as well as key areas of bilateral cooperation, including political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and interparliamentary interaction, cooperation in the field of energy security, as well as partnership within multilateral platforms.

A.Kunimitsu also expressed her appreciation to the top leadership of Turkmenistan for facilitating the establishment of a humanitarian corridor that ensured the safe evacuation of Japanese citizens from Iran in light of the current situation in the country.
