American Business Delegation Plans Visit to Turkmenistan in 2026

Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Esen Aydogdyуev, met on May 19, 2026, in Washington with Eric Stewart, executive director of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council, and representatives of the council’s member companies. During the meeting, the sides discussed preparations for a planned visit by an American business delegation to Turkmenistan later this year.

According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States, the Turkmen diplomat outlined the country’s priority areas of economic development in the context of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the 2026 motto, “Independent neutral Turkmenistan is the homeland of purposeful winged horses.”

The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, transport, agriculture, energy, industry and the private sector.

Participants in the meeting highlighted the important role of the business council in strengthening direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

In early May, the official opening ceremony of the Turkmen-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA) and the organization’s first business forum were held with the participation of more than 50 representatives of Turkmen and American companies.
