An American woman forgot the last 40 years of her life after a migraine attack

In the United States, a 60-year-old woman, Kim Denicola, suddenly felt a severe migraine, lost consciousness and forgot all the events of the last 40 years, writes RG.ru with reference to the New York Post.

When the woman woke up, she told the nurse that she was 20 years old and had just graduated from high school. She did not remember that she was married, she had children and grandchildren, and her parents were dead.

Doctors diagnosed Kim with transient global amnesia, a condition in which a person suddenly loses memory of recent events.

Kim is currently undergoing rehabilitation, but doctors do not give her much hope for a full recovery of her memory.
