The Chinese company Nio has introduced a new feature of its flagship electric car ET9, which can surprise: the car can shake off snow like a dog. Snob.ru reports this with reference to Electrek.
The ET9 is equipped with an intelligent chassis system and hydraulic suspension. The special design allows the car to swing from side to side, throwing snow off the roof without outside help.
A video from the manufacturer shows how the ET9 effectively removes snow from a roof without human intervention.
The function is not intended for wet snow or ice. During “shaking”, there should be no objects in the cabin that could tip over (for example, cups of coffee).
ET9 is a luxury electric car introduced at the end of 2023. The power of the power plant with two electric motors is 707 hp. The 120 kilowatt-hour battery provides a range of 255 km after 5 minutes of fast charging. The price of the new item is about 110 000 USD.
