An event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, organized jointly with the Humanitarian Association of Turkmen of the World, was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Abu Dhabi. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports this.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Turkmen diaspora.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan S. Garajayev, the deputy head of the Emirates branch of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmen of the World Nasir Ahmad Khoja Myrat ogly and others spoke at the event, noting the great importance of the poetic heritage of the great poet for world literature.
At the end, the participants were presented with collections of Magtymguly’s poems in Arabic.
