On October 8, 2020, President of the International Sambo Federation Vasily Shestakov met with the heads of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of sports and youth policy of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues related to the holding of the World SAMBO Championship in Turkmenistan.In particular, a new Agreement on organizational issues of the championship was discussed.
In view of the global pandemic situation in the world, the parties also paid special attention to organizing working visits of technical representatives of the International Sambo Federation to Turkmenistan to coordinate preparations for the World Championship.
In addition, the parties discussed the implementation of the plan of measures to prepare Turkmen athletes for the World Sambo Championship. The possibility of expanding cooperation between the International Sambo Federation and the National Federation of Martial Arts of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan was discussed.
