The internet has become available to residents of the northern part of Ashgabat. “Ashgabat City Telephone Network” CJSC laid 4,138 meters of main and distribution cables, and also 26,560 meters of internal fiber-optic cable in this part of the city.
Connection to the network of multi-storey buildings, office premises and shops is carried out using GPON technology, which provides for cable laying directly to the subscriber’s premises. This permits you to receive several communication services simultaneously over one cable.
As informs the official website of the AGTS, the GPON optical network has been put into exploitation in 30 residential buildings located along Bitarap Turkmenistan avenue (starting from the intersection with Gurbanlsotan-eje street up to the “Oguzhan and sons” fountain complex).
Providing communication services to subscribers using GPON technology, at present time is the main direction for major global telecommunication operators.
