Specialized courses on international investment arbitration are organized for young lawyers at TSU named after Mahtumkuli on the initiative of the Ministry of Justice together with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This was reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Invited to study are law teachers, 4-5 year law students from TSU named after Mahtumkuli, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University of Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan.
One of the objectives of the training is to improve the knowledge of young lawyers, improve their qualifications, and strengthen the national legal framework.
Courses are taught by specialists from the Adalat Ministry, arbitrators of the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes appointed from Turkmenistan, international lawyers, representatives of local law firms, profile professors and university professors.
During the educational process, a detailed study of the doctrine of international arbitration, international and national legal framework is planned. The lectures are devoted to the experience gained in international arbitration disputes, it is also devoted to the legal and theoretical foundations of international investment arbitration.
The training course includes the study of jurisdiction, stages of arbitration, rules for creating an arbitration tribunal, principles of financing cases and collecting evidence, organization of court hearings.
Classes are held in Turkmen and English.
The courses will run until May 2022.
