Ashgabat painting and sculpture exhibition opened on International Artist Day

The opening of the exhibition in the central gallery of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country’s neutrality, symbolically coincided with the International Day of the Artist, celebrated on December 8th.

ORIENT offers a small virtual tour of the exhibition and invites you to visit it in real life, because “it’s better to see it once” with your own eyes, so read about it a hundred times.

At the entrance, visitors are greeted with wonderful paintings by Berdysakhed Gurbansakhedov “Toý”, Orazkylych Ovezov “Natýurmort”, “Üzüm we almalar”, where the authors not only depict what they saw, but saturate it with personal emotions.

One of the attractive paintings at the opening day is Tachmurad Eyamberdiev’s “Gyrawly gün”, which depicts the nature of his native land. The painting “Dag gözelligi” is made in the same delicate colors, from which it breathes with pacification, lightness, peace and tranquility.

The works of People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Rejepmuhammet Berdyev, Rahman Umarov and others impress with their interpretation of the feeling of “national” in contemporary art.

The artist-ceramist Dilber Umarova from the Lebap region also conveyed the philosophical understanding of life through beauty with her new works. In her collection, one could see images of peasants and other workers.

Reconstruction of the semi-fabulous, semi-historical world of epics was seen by visitors in the painting “Kerwen”, written by Mekan Nuryagdyev. The master managed to convey the shades of that era, which has long become the property of history. All the characters in the picture seem to continue to speak and listen..
