Turkmen artist Dilber Umarova won a $1000 prize at a pottery competition in Rishtan

Turkmen ceramic artist Dilber Umarova took 2nd place and won a cash prize worth $1 000 in a competition among potters as part of the International Pottery Forum, which was held in the city of Rishtan, Uzbekistan.

More than 60 craftsmen from 30 countries of the world, as well as about 100 potters from 14 regions of Uzbekistan took part in the competition.

Dilber devoted her entire life to working with small plastics. Her personal exhibition in Ashgabat, where she demonstrated many of her works, once again proved that Dilber ceramics does not leave anyone indifferent. Her works glow with happiness, love and kindness.

Dilber spoke about her participation in the competition:

7 artists from Turkmenistan went to the forum in Uzbekistan: four ceramists and three masters of applied art.

The forum was organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Art Association and the administration of the city of Fergana.
