Ashgabat to Host 6th Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee Meeting

The sixth meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation will be held in Ashgabat on November 29 this year.

During the digital session of the regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, delivered a comprehensive update to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov regarding the status of preparations for the forthcoming Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee meeting, the official press of Turkmenistan reports.

Rashid Meredov stated that the agenda of the next meeting of the Committee will include important matters of Turkmen-Chinese relations in the oil and gas system, transport and logistics, agriculture, chemical and textile industries, science, education, high technologies, health care and other fields.

Rashid Meredov added that the meeting will result in the signing the relevant Protocol.

Following the presentation of the report, Serdar Berdimuhamedov acknowledged the diverse and multifaceted nature of the bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and China, expressing the country's intention to strengthen it further. In light of this commitment, the Turkmen leader instructed to ensure the proper organisation of the 6th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee.

Citing a statement by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ding Xuexiang will visit Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan from November 26 to 30, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday.
