Some of the ATMs dismantled on the streets of Ashgabat are being installed in the offices of organizations and companies.
Surveillance cameras are also being installed and executives warn employees that they are not entitled to make cash withdrawals from bank accounts of their family members using their bank cards.
Video cameras have been installed in the offices where ATMs had been previously available, for example, in the office of the tax revenue service of Kopetdag etrap in the city of Ashgabat.
We have been warned to use only personal bank cards to “avoid queues and conflicts at work place”, an employee of the tax revenue service said.
Visitors to officers are also not entitled to use these ATMs.
Let us remind that ATMs have been demolished from the streets with the view of “addressing the problem of mass gatherings”.
Card holders are unable to withdraw cash in bank offices.
This measure undertaken by the municipal authorities will result in the fact that retirees under 65 years old and people with disabilities will be unable to withdraw cash from their bank accounts (retirees of older age group have their retirement allowances paid in cash).
