Azerbaijan's ASCO Lays Pipeline in Turkmen Sector of Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC has completed work on laying an underwater pipeline in the Lam and Zhdanov oil field in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, according to ASCO's Thursday press release.

The order, made at Turkmenistan's request, was carried out using the pipelaying vessel Suleyman Vazirov.

The four-inch diameter gas pipeline was laid from the LAM-B platform to the LAM-C and LAM-28 platforms.

The pipeline laying project, which spanned over five kilometers, commenced in March of the previous year.

In February, ASCO CJSC announced discounts on road transportation in both directions on the Baku-Turkmenbashi-Baku route.
