On 30 August, at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister overseeing science, education, healthcare and sports Purly Agamyradov suggested President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov postpone the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry (which is not a day off) from 21 July to 10 October for an unstated reason.
The President accepted the proposal and the change will come into force starting from next year.
This date is not notable for the Turkmen medicine. Moreover, this year rumours have been circulating that Berdymukhammedov allegedly died. On 21 July, 2019 sources of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” reported that the President’s mother was in critical condition.
Let us recall that the celebrations of the Day of Independence were rescheduled to be held from 27 October to 27 September without any official explanations.
On that day in 2017 the closing ceremony for the V Asian Games was held in Ashgabat.
