Calibri will no longer be the “default” font in Microsoft Office programs

Calibri will no longer be the “default” font in Microsoft Office programs

The American company Microsoft decided to change the Calibri font, which was used by default in Word documents, to Aptos, writes “Argumenty i Fakty”.

“For 15 years, our beloved Calibri has been Microsoft's default font. And our relationship came to a natural conclusion”, - said Sea Daniels, program design manager for Microsoft Office.

The font was decided to change due to the emergence of new computer screens with higher resolution. The Aptos font was formerly known as Bierstadt. Aptos will be applied to Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
