CIS Heads of Government Council to Meet in Ashgabat

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the preparation for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on May 24 of this year.

The Vice Premier noted that an Information briefing is also planned to be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 20, and a corresponding work meeting in the capital on May 23, reports Turkmenistan's official media.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, has outlined plans to sign a number of documents and hold a press conference following the meeting.

President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, instructed the Vice Premier and the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure a high organizational level of preparation for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in Ashgabat and to take necessary measures in this direction.

The last meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place on October 13 of the previous year in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.
