Customs officers of Turkmenistan discussed technical issues of implementing the e-TIR system

During an online meeting with the expert of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Mr.Konstantinos Alexopoulos, specialists from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers discussed the technical issues of implementing the international e-TIR system in the country.

The participants also considered the possibilities of integrating the e-TIR system into the customs information system Asycuda World.

The international e-TIR system has been created for the secure exchange of data between national custom systems on the international transit of goods, vehicles or containers.

The system has already been introduced in many countries of the region: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan. It is expected to launch it in Iran this year.
