On May 3, Batyr Ereshov, aged 51, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, died.
The cause of the Deputy Prime Minister’s death was suicide. Sources of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that he hanged himself.
Batyr Ereshov was responsible for industry.He was allegedly a person of interest in the case initiated in the course of anti-corruption campaign, which had been launched in Turkmenistan.
His son was arrested in late April.
According to our information, Batyr Ereshov was buried in his family cemetery in Bukhara velayat of Uzbekistan.
