1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which priority directions for the country's development were discussed. During the meeting, the head of state signed a number of documents and gave instructions to the Government to stimulate economic growth, develop infrastructure and expand international humanitarian cooperation.
2.A nationwide tree planting campaign will be held in Turkmenistan on March 16.The greening campaign is carried out in order to transform the country into a blooming garden, create forest areas and properly care for planted tree seedlings.
Ministries, departments, hyakimliks of velayats, the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag are ordered to ensure that the action is carried out at a high organizational level, according to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan.
3.In Turkmenistan, on the basis of the Oguz han University of Engineering and Technology, an Oguz han scientific and technological center will be created, operating on an economic basis.
The corresponding Resolution was signed by the President of Turkmenistan.The document was signed in order to develop innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, computer and mobile programs, and attract young people to the development of innovative technologies in the country.
4.The international conference “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan” is scheduled to be held on March 27-28 this year.The upcoming forum will be attended by leaders and representatives of specialized international structures, as well as leading tourism organizations of a number of countries.
Opportunities will be created for delegates to get acquainted with the city of Arkadag, unique historical and cultural monuments, museums and, in general, the tourism potential of Turkmenistan.
5.Turkmenistan is actively working to increase the number of electronic publications.This is done “in order to successfully solve the problems arising from State programs and the Concept for the development of the digital economy”.
In particular, information is being added to the official websites of state cultural institutions and the media.Work is also being carried out to improve the skills of employees of these structures in the field of information and communication technologies.
6.On March 1, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for the Republic of Türkiye on a working visit.
Within the framework of the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held negotiations with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Antalya.The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the Turkish leader on his 70th birthday and presented the birthday boy with a symbolic gift - the national Turkmen ichmek.
As a result of the negotiations, a package of bilateral documents was signed to strengthen the Turkmen-Turkish partnership.In particular, Turkmenistan and Türkiye signed: a Declaration of Intent on cooperation in the field of hydrocarbon resources between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye; Memorandum of mutual cooperation on the development of partnership in the field of natural gas between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye; Memorandum of Understanding between “Türkmenistan Airline” Open Joint Stock Company and the University of the Turkish Aeronautics Association.

7. Ashgabat will host an international hockey tournament, which will be held at the capital's Winter Sports Complex from April 15 to 20. According to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports will organize the competitions.
8.Bronze medalist of the Turkmenistan 2023 football championship Balkanabat “Nebitchi” completed pre-season training in Azerbaijan.In the final control match of the training camp in Baku, the Turkmen team met with “Sumgayit” and won a landslide victory with a score of 4:2.
In the opening round of the new season of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among Major League clubs, “Nebitchi” will host “Merv”.The game will be held on Monday, March 4.
9.On March 2-3, a tournament for young big racket masters will be held on the courts of the “Ashgabat” Tennis Academy, timed to coincide with the celebration of World Tennis Day.
